Cameron and Ben

Cameron + Ben = Cuteness!

I had so much fun getting to know and playing with, I mean photographing these two sweetie pies! Even though they are brother and sister they still had very different personalities. Cameron was a little shy at first and had to be brought out of her shell. While her brother, Ben, was ready to GO – jumping, laughing, and being silly. We did the photo session at their grandmother’s brand new house, huge windows and tons of natural light. The best part was the windows didn’t have blinds or curtains on them yet! One tip for indoor photography: if the window has blinds, pull them all the way up (don’t just open the slats). You would not believe how much more light it lets in. It might not be perceptible to our eyes, but the camera knows… smart, smart camera   :)

hope you enjoy these photos and the silliness! I am loving adding child photography to my business here in Dallas!

My SPCA Friends

The weather here in Dallas is really starting to feel like Spring. Beautiful blue skies always make me happy. I spent some extra time with my friends at the SPCA this week – there were some real characters! Hope everyone has a great weekend :)

This little guy looooovvvvveeed his tennis ball, it is too big for him to carry it around in his mouth so he runs around holding it by the fuzz. See the fuzz on his chin!

This little puppy’s name is Jenson, can you believe those ears, and the one blue eye! And the love bug on the right was all smiles – too funny!

Dog?? Horse?? Dog?? Love it!!

Heidi

Heidi has got to be one of the softest pups I’ve ever touched! She is a Schnoodle, which is a word that makes me smile. A Schnoodle is half Schnauzer and half Poodle. I could pet her all day long – plus she is super smart and so well behaved. She loves treats – I felt bad when her mom told me I had just given her about two weeks worth of treats – but how could I resist? Just look at that sweet puppy face!

“No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed”

I am so lucky to have such a beautiful niece, Ansley. She has become a bit of my muse – which I think she’s okay with because it means she gets to go on “adventures” with Aunt Alli.

Ansley loves to sing “Five Little Monkeys” and also loves the line of books by Eileen Christelow: Five Little Monkeys. She was so excited when her mom and I gave her permission to jump on the bed. These photos remind me how fun it is to be a kid!

Sweet Ellie

Talk about a peaceful photoshoot. Ellie is the sweetest little Shih Tzu you will ever meet, at her senior age of 12 she still has a ton of love to give. Ellie lives in an amazing home with a french country theme – it was easy to find tons of great backdrops and spots full of natural light. I always shoot on location –  either at my clients home or an area park. You never know what to expect when you show up to a new location and it’s always a huge adventure.
