Strut Your Mutt: And the winner is…

Thank you to everyone who came out to Strut Your Mutt benefiting the SPCA of Texas. It was a huge success for the SPCA – raising over $130,000. A special thanks to those who came by our booth! We held a raffle for a chance to win a free photo session, and I am so excited to announce the winner! Drum roll please…

The winner of a free 1 hour photo session: Australian Shepherds Jessie & Echo, and their mom – Patti H. Congratulations!

Below are some of the pups who visited my booth – I couldn’t resist snapping a few photos, such a great event!

SPCA Thursday’s

The SPCA of Texas here in Dallas contacted me to take photos for their website – and I couldn’t be more excited. I will be spending every Thursday morning doing one of my favorite things in the world – playing with puppies and being a pet photographer at the same time. Hopefully I will be helping some of them find their forever homes!

Meet Miss April!

Little Sheera…

Gretchen

Othello & Ceasar

Little Nick, and a beautiful black and white kitty…

Lucky – ADOPTED! & Sasha, who’s still looking for a home.

Handsome Hamlet

And one more of April that I couldn’t resist!

Venice, Tuscany, & Florence

The second half of our trip to Italy was spent in Venice, Florence, and parts of Tuscany. Some of the most picturesque places in the world. We had to keep pinching ourselves to make sure we knew it was real. Just too beautiful for words! I am ready to go back! Enjoy and stay tuned for some SPCA of Texas news…

Italian Dogs

While in Italy I found it almost impossible to not jump down on the ground and photograph every dog I came across! I’m sure some of the dog owners thought I was insane – “maybe she’s from a place with no doggies – gasp!” I hope there is no such place. However, some of the owners were very excited to have their furry friend’s photo taken. Next time I go on vacation I will have to learn “I am pet photographer” in the native language. Hope you enjoy… I know I enjoyed snapping these few!

Honeymoon in Italy!

I’m back from my honeymoon! I know it’s been a while since my last post but I am about to make up for that…just you wait! I thought I would kick things off with some photos I took in Rome. My degree in Architecture really payed off here, however I had to change all the setting on my camera since I am used to shooting fast, floppy, and hyper pups that never sit still. The buildings here have not moved in a long, long time. One of the oldest we went to was built in 80 A.D. Hard to imagine! Enjoy, more to come, and maybe even some little Italian Doggies! How could a pet photographer resist??
