Beautiful Colt

Recently I had the pleasure of photographing a family of five with 3 gorgeous girls. We spent a portion of the shoot at their family’s ranch. I was lucky enough to sneak aside and take some photos of their horses! We even took some photos of the girls with them, it reminded me of my own childhood growing up on a ranch. See my about page, be sure to scroll down to the photo at the bottom! One of the colts was extremely interested in my camera and I was able to get some great shots of him. He has a heart shaped marking on his mouth which made it look like he was ready to give a huge smooch.

I also got to meet the colt’s father, he’s on the right…notice any resemblance?? He loves to eat apples!

The girl’s cousin was so excited to feed the horse his apples :)

Baby horses always have more whiskers than usual, but begin to loose them as they grow – too cute. And check out those looooong legs!

Winston & Lulu

I promised you awesome amounts of fluffiness and I am here to deliver. This Maltese duo was hysterical. I started out at Winston’s home – he is such a ham, with long hair that was just like velcro! Literally it picked up everything. His mom had him beautifully groomed for his photoshoot and about 10 shots into the session he fell into a pile of fresh cut grass. Needless to say we had to pause and fish it all out. He didn’t seem to mind. Then we headed over to his sister’s house, Lulu. She was just too cute for words. She pounced around in the grass – almost like a bunny. She is about half the size of Winston but – a purse puppy to the core!

Winston on the left and Lulu on the right!

Luckily it was a fairly windy day – so we got the full effect of Winston’s long hair. The photo on the right… no word to describe just try not to spit your coffee everywhere.

The grass was almost as tall as Lulu – she pounced through it with no problem.

Apparently one of Winston’s favorite treats are cheetos! He would eat them with his nose straight up in the air. I couldn’t resist his orange mustache, and the slightly guilty look…

Okay – so I am not normally the photographer who posts pets dressed up, however there are exceptions to the rule! 1.) They are wearing University of Texas outfits – my alma mater. 2.)Winston looks like he’s calling a touchdown. 3.) Lulu looks like she is cheering on her brother!

I know I say it all the time but being a pet photographer is what I was meant to be! Just love getting to play with pups all the time :)

SPCA Thursday!

Today is SPCA Thursday and we sure had some big personalities today.

First up is Catalina – I love this photo, she looks so proud! On the right is Clovis – a super sweetheart!!

On the left is Bacardi – look at that puppy dog face! And on the right is Laverne – what a cutie and her sister’s name is Shirley.

This beautiful guy is Blue – I’m sure you can guess why… Blue is a “leaner” and just wanted to sit on my feet – that made it a little hard to get his photo, but I wasn’t about to give up on these blue eyes!

Meet Smudge – He is one of the last dogs from the Kaufman puppy mill and I just can’t figure out why he hasn’t found a forever home yet. He had the biggest smile and was just a sweetheart. When is fur grows back he will be a big fluff ball with a great big smile to match!

All of these guys are available for adoption at the SPCA of Texas in Dallas and would love to go home with you today!

Gigi – The Superstar!

Gigi is Dallas’ little superstar! Smiling huge for the camera and dancing all around, always ready for a close up – just adorable! She is a ruby red Maltipoo – which is a very rare color. Gigi is just gorgeous and I think she knows it! But she is definitely a daddy’s little girl, she knows she has him wrapped around her little bitty paw… I can’t blame him – after the first ten minutes she had me wrapped around her paw as well :)

This last photo might be one of my favorites – I just love Gigi’s color against the greens and yellows in the background! Gigi made my job as a Dallas pet photography a breeze! Thank you Gigi!
