My friend Remy has one of the sweetest personalities and an incredible family to go with it. I actually took Remy’s photos quite some time ago but it was a huge secret because Remy’s parents were surprised with a gorgeous photobook of Remy on Christmas morning. Surprises are my favorite… I love to hear about the owner’s reactions (I heard there might have been a tear or two shed…)

I am so excited to finally share all of his beautiful photos with everyone! He is a striking black lab with a silver face showing his years. Such a sweet old dog with a great heart who is loved very, very much!

I had the pleasure of meeting the Hamilton family out at White Rock Lake in Dallas to capture their family only a few weeks before it would be changed forever. Changed with the arrival of a beautiful baby girl… non fur-baby that is! This was my first ever Family/dog/couple/maternity session and it was a blast. Now that could have been due to the fact that we had incredible weather, two hillarious pups (Pete & Toby), and a great soon to be mom and dad.

The best part of all – they welcomed baby Adrian right after Christmas and this Friday I am headed to their home to photograph a beautiful newborn baby girl. I can’t WAIT! This will be my first newborn girl to photograph so there will be some pink and of course some sugar and spice and everything nice

I like to imagine that these are the faces Pete (the yellow lab) & Toby (the schnauzer) made when they found out they were going to have a little human in the house

I think this is one of my favorites. The sun was setting behind us, bouncing off the lake – literally creating a field of gold!

I am so excited to meet Little Adrian Friday and will post her newborn photos as soon as I can!

Kool Kiddos

A while back I promised you more Deep Ellum photos of my Uber Cool niece and nephew… and tada, here they are!! I don’t think I could adore these two any more than I already do. I just love their little, or should I say BIG personalities. And the best part is they are coming to visit me this weekend here in Dallas. Texas Sate Fair here we come! I’m sure I will have a whole new catalogue of photos after this weekend. Also, Willie and Layla can’t wait for them to get here – they enjoy constant attention and love from the kiddos. Wesley has adopted Willie as his own and Ansley has adopted Layla as her own puppy.

Just love these non-traditional kid photos!

Wesley’s Dad is a HUGE Georgia Bull Dog’s fan, so we thought these would be the best photos for him! We told Wesley to act angry in the first photo, love it

I had such a great time photographing these two little boys… What’s that saying “boys will be boys”?? That’s the truth, we had such a great time playing and making a mess. It took me back to my childhood growing up on a ranch and getting into just about everything I could find. I was a bit of a tomboy myself We all started out pressed and propper but ended up sopping wet with huge smiles on our faces!

Jake started to get super silly toward the end of our session, he really came out of his shell. I just love some of the faces we caught!

Engagement Session

Meet the cutest, most adorable, truly in love couple in Dallas! Kallie and Ryan were a joy to work with and it certainly helps that they are two beautiful people. We chose to do their engagement session in the Deep Ellum area of Dallas. They are getting married at a venue in that area this November… my birthday to be exact (which, on a side note -I was super excited to find out that my b-day falls on a Saturday this year). This was my first ever engagement session and I am so excited with the results, it involved many scouting trips and one very early morning (trying to beat the heat!). Thank you to Kallie and Ryan for being so totally awesome! And most importantly Congratulations!!

The words Deep Ellum and kids usually don’t go together but I decided to give it a go – and I am absolutely in love with the results! Of course it helps when you have two cool kiddos with some awesome sunglasses

Macy & Mallory

Meet Macy and Mallory – two beautiful sisters. I am so lucky because I get to live right next door to them. They are huge fans of Willie and love to play soccer with him. A few weeks ago we loaded up and headed to the Dallas Arboretum for a morning of play and photos. I am super happy with the way their photo session turned out because I really do feel like it captures their loving, silly, and happy personalities.

That’s Mallory in the blue and Macy in the purple. So beautiful!

Meet beautiful baby Judah, only 2 weeks old and ready for his first photo shoot. He is such a sweet baby and his parents couldn’t be better people if they tried. I just love this family so much. I was lucky enough to meet Judah’s mom, Amy, at my first architecture job here in Dallas. We became fast friends and now I am honored to photograph her new baby. I am excited to see Judah grow and Amy become an amazing mom. Congratulations!
