I am so lucky to have such a beautiful niece, Ansley. She has become a bit of my muse – which I think she’s okay with because it means she gets to go on “adventures” with Aunt Alli.
Ansley loves to sing “Five Little Monkeys” and also loves the line of books by Eileen Christelow: Five Little Monkeys. She was so excited when her mom and I gave her permission to jump on the bed. These photos remind me how fun it is to be a kid!

I can use all the help I can get in that area. Spelling has never been my “thing” but that’s okay because I love the fact that photography is my “thing.”
Lots of new post coming soon! I made a trip down to Houston to visit family, I always travel with my camera which is a good thing – because I ended up doing 5 different sessions in 3 days… whew!
Meet the sweetest chocolate lab in Dallas - Liberty Belle, or Libby for short. Brought home on the Fourth of July, a patriotic name was only too fitting! Libby is actually 12 years old, but you would never guess it as she is so full of love and energy – I could still see some puppy in her eyes. Libby’s photo shoot was a Father’s Day gift for her Dad. They have been best friends for 12 years… a fantastic pair 
Sadly, Libby recently tore her ACL and the vet says that surgery is not the answer for this sweet gal. Libby’s family loves her so much and they are doing everything they can to keep Libby young at heart! 
Blue Mutt is excited to announce that we will be branching out into children and family photography. Keeping in the same candid style – capturing the moments of your little one’s childhood. Stay tuned for more announcements and the launch of my new website!
Oh, and for all you dog lovers out there, just like me, I plan to focus just as much attention on the little furry ones as well!
All poodles are French… right? I fell in love with this little guy. And he loved his mom – he would do anything she said. Something I have never seen before: she trained Teddy that if they were in the front yard and she said “car” – teddy would freeze, sit down and wait for the car to pass by. Pretty smart little guy! Blue Mutt made a special trip down to Houston for this photo shoot. The day started with rain but by the time I got there the sky was one of the bluest I’ve seen in a while. Such a beautiful day! Such a sweet little boy!
