Tucker’s Surprise

Have I ever told you that I  love being in on a surprise?? Well I absolutely, positively, with out a doubt DO!! Tucker’s photo session was a surprise Happy Birthday for his dad and keeping it a secret was a close call… But we were able to make it happen and he was beyond surprised from what I hear 😉

Tucker is an older guy but you would never know it from the energy he had through the session. He was loving the park and was so excited to get into the cool water. While at home, he was such a sweat boy who just wanted to lean on whoever was closest! I definitely feel in love with this lovable golden retriever.

Tucker also has a cat-brother named Mittens. Mittens comes and goes as he pleases so we weren’t sure if we would be able to get any photos of him. But he turned out to be pretty curious of my camera and even gave us some posing!

Love the one on the right… one of my all time favorites!

springtime

It really doesn’t get better than the weather this time of year and for Dallas – spring has definitely sprung. Blue skies, cool breezes, new flowers, green grass, and sunshine!

I snapped this photo on a trip to the Dallas Arboretum with my family. If you are in the Dallas area you must check out their Spring Blooms. Hope everyone has a great weekend outdoors!!

jessica & spencer: deep ellum

I first met Spencer at Camp Bow Wow Valentine’s photo day (4th row down… what a cutie, huh?) It wasn’t long before I got a call from Spencer’s mom saying she was dying to set up a photo session of her and Spencer down in Deep Ellum. They have been living in downtown Dallas for many years and wanted to document their life in the big city. I was so super excited to see Spencer again. I photographed many, many, dogs that day but I actually remembered Spencer being such a sweet boy and well behaved to boot :) We ended up with some amazing weather, a little wind, and a wild goose chase to find the roof of a building to get some skyline photos but we managed to capture it all. The vibrant colors of Dallas’s Deep Ellum were perfect with Spencers beautiful black and white markings. I just love these two as a pair, Jessica adopted Spencer as a stray 10 years ago and have been inseparable ever since!

happy valentine’s day!

Ever spent a Valentine’s day getting hugs, kisses, tail wags, and love from over 75 dogs?? Well I have and it just might be one of my favorites as of yet. These pups are full of love for their owners and I was thrilled to capture each and every one of them. Camp Bow Wow, one of Dallas’s premier doggie daycares set up a special pet photography day for all their pups – so that they would have a gift to take home to their mom or dad. Just too darn cute if you ask me!

If you see your fur-baby below let us know by leaving a comment. Or let us know which photo is your favorite :)

Thank you to Camp Bow Wow for providing such an excellent service and being such a great friend!

snow day!

Make that three ice days and one snow day to top it all off! Yes I know the entire country is covered in ice and snow but it becomes a holiday/celebration type ordeal when it happens in Texas. Plus my dogs LOVE the snow. They can’t get enough of it and I can’t seem to understand how their toes and tummies don’t freeze, but then again I’m not a dog… I caught Layla (on the left) and Mr. Blue Mutt in action this morning here in the Dallas snow. Hope everyone is staying warm and having fun this winter 2011!!

Check out last years snow photos (back when Willie was an only child)
