SPCA Shelter Pups – all smiles!

Things are back on track after the holidays and the dogs at The SPCA of Texas are ready for their new home. I spent the morning at the shelter playing with all of them.

Meet Eva and Abbey! These two sister’s are from the same house and are too sweet. Eva is more of a goofball, while Abbey just watched us run around. I like how they both look like they are wearing eye-liner!

On the left is JoJo, she is an Australian Kelpie mix, which means she is super smart. And Germany, a shepherd mix, on the right just wanted to run circles around me!

This St. Bernard is just a huge love-bug, ready for hugs and big, BIG kisses. I just couldn’t believe these little legs were holding him up!

And last but certainly not least is this little girl – she was hysterical! First she was a little unsure about my camera, but once she realized it wasn’t going to hurt her she started hamming it up big time. I spent a little extra time with her because (1) she kept making me laugh, and (2) I think she needed some extra play time!

Just too much fun, I love my job as a pet photographer! Dogs are always happy and have so much love to give it is just amazing. Everyone needs a love-bug of their own :) Adopt a dog today!

Never Too Busy for My Shelter Pups

Things have been getting pretty crazy for Blue Mutt Photography. I couldn’t be more excited. However, I still want to take time to help pups in need find there forever homes. That’s why I spent this morning at the SPCA in Dallas. Check out these cuties!

Jazzie is a young sweet  girl who’s been at the SPCA waiting for home over a month now – that makes her a VIP (very important pet)!!

Meet Piper, she’s a sweet girl. Very big – but very gentle

Beautiful Tara has just about the softest fur I’ve ever felt. Her ears actually stand straight up – but when she smiles super big they go down.

Kitties… and Bunnies Need Love Too

It’s been raining a lot the past few days here in Dallas, a far cry from Blue Mutt’s Afternoon Off. So we’ve been stuck inside – which is okay with me, because it means I get to spend time petting cats and rabbits! I’ve never had a bunny as a pet, but they are so soft I could pet them all day long. And you don’t have to sell me on the cats, I grew up with them and had them as pets up until I met my husband, who by the way is allergic to cats and rabbits ;) These love bugs are looking for homes as well at the SPCA of Texas.

This beautiful white cat had me giggling the entire morning. I’ve never seen a cat this cross-eyed. Pretty endearing!

SPCA Thursday

Well they say if you don’t like the weather in Texas… wait a minute. That saying was true today. Rain, Sun, Downpour, Sun… But today is also SPCA Thursday. We fought through the morning rain and photographed these dogs in need of a home. 

This sweet girl is Rosie and she has the best eyes – beautiful brown eyes!

Meet Sinbad – who’s name should be flash! He didn’t sit still for a minute. But he was darn cute running around.

Now if you are looking for a more unusual pup you’ve found her. This is Miss Brindie. Funny run, great teeth, and even a speckled tongue – my kind of dog!!

Miss Brindie and Sinbad were so excited to be next to each other – I’m sure they slept the entire afternoon away after all that running.

And last but not least is Scout. My heart melted for this girl – she is 12 years old and looking for a place to call home. Sweet, loving and well behaved – a dream doggie!

As always – these pups are looking for a place to call home, and are available for adoption form the SPCA of Texas. I am so happy that I can use my passion of pet photography to find these loving animals some great parents!

SPCA Thursday!

Today is SPCA Thursday and we sure had some big personalities today. 

First up is Catalina – I love this photo, she looks so proud! On the right is Clovis – a super sweetheart!!

On the left is Bacardi – look at that puppy dog face! And on the right is Laverne – what a cutie and her sister’s name is Shirley.

This beautiful guy is Blue – I’m sure you can guess why… Blue is a “leaner” and just wanted to sit on my feet – that made it a little hard to get his photo, but I wasn’t about to give up on these blue eyes!

Meet Smudge – He is one of the last dogs from the Kaufman puppy mill and I just can’t figure out why he hasn’t found a forever home yet. He had the biggest smile and was just a sweetheart. When is fur grows back he will be a big fluff ball with a great big smile to match!

All of these guys are available for adoption at the SPCA of Texas in Dallas and would love to go home with you today!
