before baby

I had the pleasure of meeting the Hamilton family out at White Rock Lake in Dallas to capture their family only a few weeks before it would be changed forever. Changed with the arrival of a beautiful baby girl… non fur-baby that is! This was my first ever Family/dog/couple/maternity session and it was a blast. Now that could have been due to the fact that we had incredible weather, two hillarious pups (Pete & Toby), and a great soon to be mom and dad.

The best part of all – they welcomed baby Adrian right after Christmas and this Friday I am headed to their home to photograph a beautiful newborn baby girl. I can’t WAIT! This will be my first newborn girl to photograph so there will be some pink and of course some sugar and spice and everything nice :)

I like to imagine that these are the faces Pete (the yellow lab) & Toby (the schnauzer) made when they found out they were going to have a little human in the house 😉

I think this is one of my favorites. The sun was setting behind us, bouncing off the lake – literally creating a field of gold!

I am so excited to meet Little Adrian Friday and will post her newborn photos as soon as I can!

Gustopher

Meet Gustopher, Gus for short, a beautiful Lab mix with a kind heart and a happy go lucky disposition. We had a great time playing out at White Rock Lake enjoying the beautiful weather. I’ve never met a pup quite like Gus – he’s very tall, and fluffy, with a lab’s face – he can jump up to 6 feet in the air… yes his mom and dad have actually measured. It is a sight to see! He is extremely handsome but still has a goofball side to him that I love!

I think the tall grass was tickling him, so he started rubbing his face on it… too funny.

This past Saturday I was invited to be the official dog photographer for the yearly event: Walk, Wag, and Run. What an incredible event! 5k and 10k races, dog agility walk, pet adoptions, costume contests, and so much more. The event is organized by the Lakewood Service League – and they did an amazing job! To see all of the photos from Saturday’s event go to The Walk, Wag and Run Photo Gallery. There you can purchase prints of your adorable pooches!

Not only were there 100’s of people but also 100’s of dogs in all shapes and sizes!

Blue Mutt’s Afternoon Off!!

Last week we had some beautiful weather here in Dallas. Blue skies and a nice fall breeze! Willie and I decided it was just to nice to stay indoors. So we shut down early and took the afternoon off :) We headed out to White Rock Lake to play a little fetch and watch the ducks. Willie had an absolute blast…check out that tongue.

Willie loves to catch the ball high in the air. Usually the only time he misses is when I give him a bad toss, just like the on the right …oops! To learn more about Mr. Blue Mutt check out his own page – blue mutt

Once Willie was done playing we sat and relaxed by the lake for a while, I just love his silhouette – I even used it as the Blue Mutt Photography logo! All I can say is that my “job” as a Dallas pet photographer ROCKS!

Sneak Peak: Nena & Pepe

I had so much fun photographing these two at White Rock Lake in Dallas. Nena & Pepe are two beautiful dogs with personalities of their own. They have the typical “big sister” – “little brother” relationship. Love it! I spent most of the day rolling around in the grass with them. I have the best job ever as a pet pet photographer! Here is a quick sneak peak.
